How to Respond When People Talk About Your Spouse

So many of you have seen the video of my husband speaking on forgiveness, and talking about how we had recently found out that some folks were talking about us - especially me. ?

I admit: it was hard. But my hubby came through for me with such great encouragement that I couldn't keep it to myself. I asked him permission to copy and paste, then post the text messages he sent to me on my blog. I wanted them to serve as an awesome example of how a godly spouse responds with encouragement when someone has been talking about their husband/wife. Of course he said yes!

I have broken up each individual text message so you can see exactly how his texts came through to my phone - this was so much life to me!? ? This is what the Bible means when it says that husbands are to wash their wives with water by the word (of God). Eph. 5:26.

That's the way I see you and many others see you. You are an amazing wife and a virtuous woman! You always have been, and you will continue to be. The enemy wants to poison you with the wrong opinions of a few. But you know who you are, I know who you are, and hundreds more know who you are. Many women and young ladies have said to me on multiple occasions, "I want to be like your wife."

YOU ARE GODLY! And that is the light of Christ. That's what you have. It draws people, and then you show them who God is. That's what I love about you. You have challenged me in our ten years just by being so good-hearted and loving no matter what. That's what JESUS was like.

I love you!!! As we grow and our reach grows, it's important to remind ourselves of who we were. And that is the same person we still are. Just wiser and more patient lol. It's challenging not to let the opinions of others (good or bad) change us. Too much of the good and that could lead to the temptation of pride. I'm glad that we are challenged with these things so we can take a clear look at ourselves and make sure that we are everything that God wants us to be.

Some people don't like spinach. Some don't like cake. In 2017, I’m telling people, "I f I'm not your flavor, you don't have to choose me. Just keep it movin!"

I just got a revelation!

If the enemy can't get you to do wrong, he will make up stories about wrongdoing and put you in it!

Just look at Joseph and how he was accused of sleeping with Photip. wife. That was actually a testament to his integrity. The devil couldn't get him to do wrong so he made up wrongdoing. And the scripture actually says that she tried to come on to him over and over and he kept denying. So finally she made something up. WOW...that will preach.

You are both destined for acceleration in advancing the kingdom! The scripture tells us "woe unto you when all men speak well of you." Satan is also an Accuser of the brethren.

This is a old hood saying when people are talking about you that mean you are doing something right now if they are not talking about you that mean you doing something wrong keep doing right & trust & believe one day the peeps who talking will eventually have to do right it's sad what goes around comes around & they gonna wish they should've kept their mouths closed tight

God is good. This situation was meant to weaken and hurt us, but my husband used it for his message on forgiveness, and I was able to encourage couples as a result. It was just material to use to bless people!

Powerful Words, Both You First Lady and Pastor David remind me of Genesis 5:2, God called both of you David... Pastor David you most definitely, exemplifies this type of husband by spiritually interceding, motivated, encouraging, and uplifting your wife, Sis. Niki! I love your relationship with God and Each Other. People will always talk and lie let them. Just as David said remind each other who you are in Christ and what you have and that will continue to flourish. What I've learned is that when people are talking about you lieing and even mistreating you it's because they are jealous and want what you have and I always say you don't have to tear me down just seek God and you will have the desires of your heart too. God is no respector of person.Like Pastor said on yesterday do not get robbed of your anointing being jealous. So I say you guys are anointed and blessed. Keep living as a King and Queen. It's always beautiful to see Godly Encouragement!! Just Beautiful I teared up❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing....it takes tremendous courage to be transparent and Sister Niki, you do it so very well!

I have personally witnessed your compassion, love for others and your strength! You are an amazing example of the word LOVE; I have many times thanked you ( and Pastor David) for being a natural manifestation of God's love in the earth.

I have come to realize .. those who "hate" on others are actually admirers that don't have courage to compliment another, due to their own feelings of insignificance or self- worth. Sad.. but true.

Praise God! Awesome response from a great man of God, but honestly, I wouldn't expect anything less from David Winston. Pastor Bill and Sister Veronica made sure that they raised him under the watchful eyes of the Lord. Proud to be a partner of such a Blessed ministry. Let the naysayers take note!

Such a challenging trial. You always have the victory. So excited for you that "it worketh" ...it being the trial..it is turning you into even more gold. Who would of thunk you could get even better😄. We are sooo blessed to have you at Living Word! The trial..it's working for you a greater weight of glory. I love that trials are my servant and work for me. Read your book last year and yep it changed me. Thank the Lord..I needed it. Thanks for writing it!

I hope it's okay to post this. Its just my heart.
I was speaking with a teen a few months back who was different than the environment he lived in presently...I shared with him that everything about him from appearance and personality to his attributes and giftings are a blessing to where he is assigned. Everything God designed in him is perfect for his assignment. That Gods timing is not off and sometimes God will send in someone different to get a few peoples attention, get things in order or even rearrange things. Now I am not so slow to believe everything has to do with ethnicity..I'm not talking about ethnicity per se. but I believe sometimes God will inject those with great hope among the hopeless..or a great attitude among those lacking in positivity...fearless among the fearful. All I know is when God assigns a person..many times the environment tries not to receive the change that person carries in them. The environment true to spew out the hopeful so it can hang onto hopelessness..spew out true leadership so.it.can.hang onto chaos..but thanks be to God the Devil doesnt have the power to stop the plan..love always wins.Gods plan and power always prevail..the presence of their person is no mistake and can break up some rough ground as they keep their eyes on Jesus. By the way Living Word loves you. I learned that if I give the majority of my focus to the two challenging kids in my classroom I miss the other 28 that are behaving.

I'm like those women who are so encouraged by listening to Niki. The videos popped up as I was on youtube and hv loved them ever since and I send them to other women. I would love to hear more.. Niki speaks faith. I like listening to someone who believes what they are saying from the Word of God and when I listen my faith is built up. Thank you!
